Liquid & Bones is a recently formed Dutch band, concretely in 2023, by four experienced musicians in Netherlands music scene who, although they come from different fields and backgrounds, all of them have felt the call of blues and black music in general.

Led by the personal voice of Loes Jongerling who finds inspiration on vaudeville singers but, at the same time, shows an aggressive wild style, the band has now released their first recording with seven songs that serve as an introduction to the European market. The rest of the band musicians are Marco Tinari on guitar and vocals, Lotte Dijkstra on bass and Colin Van Den Broek on drums.

Liquid & Bones pay tribute to a variety of such different blues styles and artists as Memphis Minnie, Albert Collins’ incendiary guitar, Chicago shuffles or the deep sounds of the Mississippi Delta, although they develop songs in their own way, making them sound different and audacious.

The album includes two of his own compositions and five versions of classics standards blues songs like “Baby Please Don’t Go” or “Love In Vain”. Also mention the personal development of “But I Was Cool” coming from Oscar Jr. Brown, they give a fun air that will surprise most listeners.

Fortunately, today we can enjoy and discover new generations of musicians and bands like Liquid & Bones which keep the blues alive and perform it with respect, personality and in their own style.
