This album was published some years ago by one of the greatest West Coast white harmonica players I personally think he has done very few recordings under his own name, although he is a reputed musician in California Among musicians he is known as the godfather and he is usually requested as special guest by California blues musicians and bands Gary Smith is one of these harmonica players who has an uncommon outstanding amd creative skills Endowed with a precious elegant ‘big fat tone’ and a lot of feeling, Gary captives and hypnotizes the audience with his first class virtuosism coming from Little Walter’s school The backing musicians are well known names into the blues scene, like Rusty Zinn or Nick Gravenites among others The only thing I can do is highly recommend this cd to every harmonica and West Coas blues lovers
