From a very young age and guided by his father who was a musician, Dyer Davis fully immersed himself in sixties and seventies music, feeling a special appeal from early Jeff Beck’s albums with Rod Stewart and, of course, Led Zeppelin. This led him to discover the importance of the blues as the base of the music he most loved.

Today and only aged twenty-two, Florida guitar player and singer Dyer Davis appears in the first range of blues-rock scene, thanks to a superb voice and an amazing guitar mastery. He now presents his debut album for WildRoots Records, produced by Stephen Dees and Billy Chapin with thirteen songs where, besides his own band with bass player Jacob Barone and drummer David Weatherspoon, he has counted with a remarkable roster of guest musicians like Victor Wainwright and Dave Mikeal on piano, Billy Chapin on rhythm guitar, slide and organ, Stephen Dees on bass, guitar, keyboards, vocals and composition, Patricia Ann Dees on tenor sax and flute, Mark Earley on baritone sax, Doug Woolverton and Joe Young on trumpets, Walter Andrews on dobro and slide and finally Billy Dean and Stan Lynch on drums.

Although most of the songs have been written by some of the participating musicians, the song “Let Me Love You” which opens the recording, belongs to Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart.
