David Deacon’s life has always moved between art, music and sport. He left the University to move to Paris to begin art studies. Back again in Canada he began to devote professionally to paint and draw, combining his passion for art with the most varied jobs. Before working on music, David became a renowned car and motorcycle driver, participating in various races and representing two times Canadian team at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

After retiring from the motor world, David Deacon began a fruitful musical career that has led him to be a blues and roots music singer and songwriter gifted with a very special character. His raw, deep and wrapping voice becomes the instrument that allow listeners to discover the personality of a man who has lived countless very special situations and experiences.

This last recording gathers ten songs framed in folk ballads and old school music where David shows his good qualities as a story-teller too. His songs have varied influences that, in some cases, bring us to mind musicians like Tom Waits or Leonard Cohen, but also Dire Straits, Bob Dylan and even Van Morrison. All these things are a guarantee of a well-done job.
