Chris Vincent is a singer, songwriter and slide guitar player from New Orleans who skillfully and roughly performs styles like dark raw Delta blues, American roots music or even jazz, always in a harsh and visceral way with no superfluous devices and garments.

Although he lives in New Orleans where fun, joy and musical madness can be found in every city corner seven days a week and twenty-four hours a day, Chris wants to give us just the opposite, that is to say, a totally stark recording where only his voice and guitar can be found, sometimes backed by Johnny Vidacovich on drums and Dean Zucchero on bass. The album was recorded in only two sessions, totally live without any additional studio effects or overdubs, with only three people playing with genuineness a bunch of honest and simple songs where Chris shows all his performing strength, in a repertoire of eleven songs that introduces a singer-songwriter who feels in his field. Also, the lyrics take a prominent place, telling us stories about the dark moments of the past that, at the same time, become a shout of redemption, presenting the struggle of somebody who goes off the stablished paths, trying to overcome life difficulties only with love.
