Andres Roots is a guitar player from Estonia who has brought his music all over the world. Both solo and on a trio format, he has toured countless times and booked in festivals like King Biscuit Blues Festival in Helena, Arkansas, Deep Blues Festival in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Shetland Blues Festival in Lerwick, UK or, representing his country, at the European Blues Challenge that took place in Hell, Norway.

After his tours of Germany, Estonia and Finland, Andres Roots presents his last album entitled “Vol. 12” in a solo format that includes fourteen instrumental songs that were recorded on June 7, 2019 and December 23, 2022. Between those two dates he has performed in USA and Europe, but he has also been in hospital with heart problems, and he also suffered a terrible painful eczema in his hands that made impossible for him to play guitar that fortunately he is totally recovered.

Some of the album songs were released in 2021 in the EP “Afternoon” which is now sold out. Along the album songs you will be able to appreciate the knowledge, good taste and variety of nuances Andres Roots develops when he deeply comes to the Mississippi Delta blues sounds. Not in vain he has been compared with Ry Cooder, Davy Graham or Leo Kottke.
